iGO Primo Yes Or No

As the successor to the iGO Amigo long was expected to justify all that Amigo software package as promised and not fulfilled. As iGO Primo software package concerning expectations are met. Currently the latest software for personal navigation devices from this software package is iGO Primo 1.2. The software supports and truck mode for the countries of Western Europe and Russia. To install it is necessary to at least 128 MB of RAM. Aesthetic and visual appearance, which really impressive, complicated our situation, because it's really demanding and the minimum requirements that are recommended for practical work with the software to be observed. One thing is certain that older GPS NAVIGATION this remarkable program can not be used.

iGO PRIMO

IGO Primo is a software package that came on the market NAVIGATION year ago. For purposes of this article, we tested it on two different devices: Mio Nextar S505 and Chinese. These are the results of the test:

iGO Primo looks more like the iGO Amigo. The opening home screen Primo software is almost identical Amigos home screen and use a very similar graphical interface.That is all that concerns the similarities. As for all other characteristics of Primo is a lot better than the two software giants iGO 8,  iGO 8.3 and the iGO Amigo, which is a direct successor. Who used the Amigo and who is familiar with the characteristics of this program, knows that iGO Amigo has very limited customization needs of owners of GPS navigation. This is not the case for iGO Primo. There are a number of adjustments that are available through the menu and sys.txt file. It seems that Primo adaptable as 8.3 and iGO perhaps a bit more from him. We recommend gurjon skin that makes the adaptation and customization the GPS navigation even easier than it does the original Prim's skin. In our tests, iGO Primo proved to be much superior to the iGO version 8.3 at least in one respect: Primo is more stable when run from external memory card, whether it comes to SD cards or Micro SD card adapter with or without him . Our Mio S505 is reset about once every 5-6 isključibanja with iGo power supply with 8.3 software. Which means that after closing up 8.3 iGO GPS navigation resets disconnects and re-start the device. Primo does not work but continues to operate in direct mode programming even after GPS navigation. Graphics Programming Interface and I are much better than the Prima iGO8.3. This resulted in a more readable map view, and very good structure of the electoral menu. Primo can use the Text to Speech (TTS) file. Primo also has much improved system of detection of traffic jams (TMC), which unfortunately in Serbia is still not available to users of GPS navigation. Nav'nGo also introduced the option of intelligent routing, which unfortunately, due to limitations with the TMC system in Serbia have not had a chance to try it.

In short: stability and an improved graphical interface are reason enough to do the reprogramming of the software on your navigation to iGO Primo. We strongly recommend all users Primo GPS navigation with more RAM. Recomended 128MB not always provided comfor and joy for our work.
